Creative Cloud vanishes, LRCC won't install

I wanted to put Lightroom Classic on my laptop but it refuses to install. I go to Adobe, log in, and then CC starts to install then just... vanishes. No processes running, no CC install, no LR install. Every time I try again the same thing happens.

This laptop (ASUS Windows 11) has run Lightroom in the past so I have no idea what's going on.

Any ideas?

We appreciate you reaching out. In addition to the suggestions shared by the expert above, could you check if there are any background processes running in the task manager? Also, please test the issue after restarting your computer.

Thanks for the replies. Still doesn't work. I downloaded from the link, and started the install.  Message: CC is installing. One percent, 4 percent, then the install window vanishes, just like before. And, it takes the downloaded install app with it; it's no longer in the downloads file.

  • I did reboot first, several times.
  • Made sure there were no Adobe processes in Taskmanager.
  • I've run CC and LR on this computer before with zero problems, I know it's compatible.. I took it off because at home I use LR on a desktop. I'm traveling, so wanted it local.

I see! Are you installing the apps on C: drive? Could you share a video recording of what you see?

install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs. 

 

if you have trouble downloading the cc desktop app or you see an error message when trying to install, make sure you have a compatible os (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html), and use the alternative download links at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
