Creative Cloud won't launch

Hi there,

I've recently purchased the PSE 2025 upgrade for my 2019 version.  When I attempted to download it a message came telling my installer is corrupted.  I have tried to download CC but it will not launch. After reading many of the past posts here and elsewhere. I did all the suggested fixes with no luck.   I've removed all Adobe programs, cleaned, restarted, turned off firewalls, and still can't install CC.

Am very frustrated as I have no access to any PSE program now.

If there are any more thoughts out there on resolving this, it would be much appreaciated.

Hi all,

A quick update on my original message.  I've now been able to download CC (for some reason, out of the blue it launched!) but am not able to progress to download PSE 2025 upgrade as it tells me my installer (the new CC) is still corrupted.  I'll try the couple of suggestions that have been suggested.  Thanks so much for the support, everyone..

Does your computer user account have read/write administrative permissions to install software?

Hi Nancy,

Yes it does.  I've never had an issue before.

Thanks

I don't believe you need the full CC app with PSE. Have you tried downloading from this link and following the on page instructions:  https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/photoshop-elements-downloads.html

Hi Ben M

Thanks you for the link but I still received the corrupt installer message and instruction to redownload the installer.  I'm assuming the reference to the installer is Creative Cloud but could it be something else?

I was just successful in downloading PSE11 which I had upgraded to PSE19 in 2020. It went through the traditional Install Wizard screens and I hoped it may facilitate PSE19 and 25 to install but still no luck.

Thanks

Vicki

@smart_goddess0D4D

use a different (updated) browser (that's not opera) to download the pse elements version you own.  also, creative cloud is not part of any pse versions so i'm not sure why you've mentioned it several times.

Did you download it from your Adobe account?

do you mean, after downloading it and when trying to run it you see a corrupt installer message?

The corrupt message appears when I attempt to install PSE 2025 from my downloads folder. I've now managed to get a newly installed CC to launch, but the same corrupt message still comes up, so I'm thinking it's nothing to do with CC.  I'm still to try a couple of suggestions that have been posted, fingers crossed.

Thanks

Hi @smart_goddess0D4D,

Could you share a screenshot of what you see? Have you recently rebooted your system?

Let us know.
