Creative Desktop Refused to Install

I have lost count of the number of times I have tried to take up my recently purchased Creative (Photography) subscription.

I have tried it with IE10 and 11, with Chrome, and with Opera (all the latest updated versions),

I recently upgraded to WIndows 8.1 and perhaps foolishly selected sign-in using my Microsoft ID. I have recently found that

my MIcrosoft self is not recognized by my computer as having administrator privileges, so the installation may be failing

when it finds I am not the administrator. I tried accessing the privileges, assigning myself admin status, and I tried giving

the privilege of installing programs. I don't know what more I can do. Please, someone make a helpful suggestion!. I am

feeling rather hard done by because I purchased the full version of CS6 in January of this year, so I wasn't really due to

purchase an upgrade yet. And I have never used Lightroom. I am tempted, because of the frustration of these repeated

failures, to cancel my subscription. I certainly am getting nothing but grief from it. I do realise this may be Microsoft's fault

rather than Adobe's. Hence this appeal for help.

PS Your forum insists that as I am in Japan I must be shunted to the Japanese language site. This also is very tiresome.

Hi Roger_Williams,

Please enable hidden admin account and try installing again: http://www.ghacks.net/2012/06/11/windows-8-enable-the-hidden-administrator-account/.

You may even try the direct download: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html.

Kindly follow the very important instructions before download.

Thank you, Romit Sinha.

However, I have been able to secure admin privileges for my Microsoft ID sign-in thanks to guidance from Microsoft tech support. Unfortunately Creative Desktop still fails to install. Do you feel that the hidden admin account would enable the download that is impossibke with the usual admiin privileges? The Microsoft help guy said that the Creative Desktop download itself must be incompatible with Windows! We tried using the compatibility settings for Windows 7 (which the MS analytics recommended) and for Windows 8. Neither worked. I am a little reluctant to get into the creation of a special account with enhanced privileges but will do so if you are sure I should try it.
