Creative Suite 2 Activation Problems

Dear Adobe,

I have a PowerMac with CS2 installed. I recently tried to open some old files & I was told the license had expired. I bought another new copy of CS2 through eBay & tried to install it. I get nothing but error messages. Yes, I have a much more modern Mac (MacPro 12 core) but my older files are all on the PowerMac in CS2. What can be done to install & activate my new software in order to open old CS2 files?

Sincerely,

Michael R. Soto

CS2 is officially dead.   I hope you can get a refund from the eBay seller but that's probably not gonna happen.  Nobody should buy software on eBay.  It's way too risky.

Unfortunately the cs2 activation servers were taken down.

Adobe did offer a non activation cs2 replacement for a time, but has since withdrawn that.

If you contact customer support maybe you can convince them to provide you with a non activation version of cs3.

Other users have reported having success doing that. (under Don't see your app or plan?)

The CS2 registration server has been disabled, so you will no longer be able to activate that old version

PowerPC application does not work on Intel Mac and OS X 10.7 or later.
When opening a CS2 file, if you currently have a Creative Cloud contract, open it with the current version of the application.
