Creative Suite 3 Design Standard

Many years ago, I bought the Creative Suite 3 Design Standard and although very old, it worked fine until I downloaded a trial version of InDesign. When I did, the existing CS3 programs (specifically InDesign and PhotoShop) on my desktop stopped running. When I tried to revert to the CS3 programs, I was unable to. The message said to uninstall and re-install from disc, which I've done numerous times. The install couldn't find the Windows Vista AdobePDF.dll file. I downloaded the missing file (I think, tried both 32 & 64 bit) from the internet and now only get errors. I chatted with the support people and was told they couldn't help; I'd have to ask on the forum. Can anyone help? I'm retired and use the programs only for personal, so don't want to pay a monthly fee to upgrade.

copy your disks' files to a desktop directory.

right click the setup program and click compatibility mode>chose xp sp2>ok

double click the setup file to start installation.

you can expect some (or a lot of) problems if you're using a non-compatible (ie, newer) os.

I'm on Windows 10 but it was running before on that platform.
