Creative Suite 6 Design Standard Serial Number Invalid [unable to use Mac serial number on Windows]

Question

I was trying to install CS6 Design Standard on my computer but the installer said that the serial number was invalid. I found the serial number by going to the adobe website and navigating to the page with my products. I had installed CS6 around 3 years ago on my old Mac, and went to install it on my new PC when I ran into the issue. I don't know if I would need a different serial number for the PC version or not. How can I install CS6 and why is the serial code invalid?

Yes, you do. Serial numbers are Mac only or Windows only. As you have discovered, you cannot use a Mac serial number on Windows (and vice versa).

You can do a platform swap to surrender your Mac serial number and obtain a Windows serial number instead.

Exchange an Adobe product for a different language or platform version
