Creative Suite 6 Install won't let me add product license

I'm in the process of changing over all of my software to an old Win 10 computer to a Win 11 computer. I have the product key, but when the window pops up to add the key I'm prevented from entering the key. I uninstalled my Adobe cloud photography suite from the old one and installed on the new one.  I wasn't able to install the Creative Suite 6 first due to having no dvd drive in the new computer, so had to get an external one. Any ideas as to why it won't let me add the product key?

Sherman, thanks for posting your question about using Creative Suite 6 in 2025. If the software is registered to your account then you can use the steps listed in https://adobe.ly/4guhi2q to download a fresh copy of the installation files to the new computer.

Peru Bob also brings up a great point about deactivating the software on the old computer. Please bookmark and review https://adobe.ly/40LpfL3 for information about activating and maintaining any remaining activations that were included with your purchase. ^JW

Did you sign out of CS6 on the old Win 10 computer before uninstalling?

Thanks, was able to get my product installed, though the exe file didn't work, so had to download the zip file. I've bookmarked both links for future use.

activate offline or give more information.

disconnect the computer from the internet

Launch the product.

At the Serial Number Validation screen, click Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet.

Click Offline Activation and click Generate a Response Code.

Write down the Request Code.

Switch to an online computer and navigate to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated.

Click Offline Activation.

Sign in with your Adobe ID.

Enter your Request code and click Generate.

Write down the Response code.

Switch back to the offline computer.

Enter the Response Code and click Activate.

I don't get the option to click offline activation, only thing available is the product key boxes.
