[Creative Suite] Installation questions

Years ago, I bought the Adobe Creative Suite. As my laptops would get old, I would deactivate the license and then install the software on my newer computer. I recently bought a desktop, and it does not have a disc drive. Is there a way to install the software without using an install disc? I still have my serial number saved.

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for sharing this. Luckily, my new computer is Windows, not a Mac. I know CS6 is pretty outdated at this point. I'm hoping I'm able to get it activated.

You're in luck, as activation servers are still available for CS4 through CS6. CS1 through CS3 are gone, though.

No... Adobe has removed all download links for CS6 and earlier

Buy a USB disc drive... less than $30 the last time I looked on Amazon

That is, of course, if your old programs will even install on a new computer

CS6 and earlier will NOT install on Mac Catalina

You MAY get old programs to install on Windows 10 (or, maybe not)

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-and/or select Run as Administrator to assign FULL Windows permissions

Thank you. This is really helpful. I didn't realize that they removed all the download links.
