Creative Suite Master Collection download does not execute on Mac (tried 2 different machines)

Downloaded the CS6 Master Collection file from my Downloads page today and when I attempt to run this on my MacBook Pro Retina (El Capitan V 10.11.3) an error pops:

MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.dmg  Image not recognized

Repeated the same download three times on the same Mac as well as on another desktop Mac - all with the same error.

Seems there is an issue on Adobe's backend?

Here is the solution to mounting the downloaded .DMG image and running the installer.

Download the disk image from Adobe.

Open Disk Utility and open the disk image File - Open Disk Image

Once mounted and while still in Disk Utility - File - Show In Finder

There are the installers and away you go.

No issues under El Capitan 10.11.3

Cheers.

This is not Adobe's problem... you simply have an unsupported operating system for 4 year old software

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-you may get CS6 and earlier programs to install and run, or you may not (some do, some don't)

-IF not, post details of any error messages and someone may be able to help

That MAY be a false error message due to Mac El Capitan and OLD programs

This information is a MUST DO to install old programs on Mac El Capitan

-you may not get the same error message, but these are some links that MAY help with old programs

-Java https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html may help

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help (also for other than CS5)

-also a TEMPORARY security change https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2039319
