Creative Suite slow to initialise on iMac running MacOS Mojave 10.4.3

My iMac has started taking up to 10 minutes to start up. The issue appears to be with The Creative Cloud application being slow to initialise. the Mac freezes as it tries to load Creative Suite and I get the spinning wheel if I try to doing anything else as it initialises. When it finally launches all seems well with no further issues. I deleted the contents of the OOBE folder as suggested on the Adobe Help page but still get the same issue. Any suggestions to speed up the start up process would be appreciated. It's not the end of the world just a little annoying especially if I'm in a rush to get working.

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

[moved from Creative Suites to Adobe Creative Cloud]
