CS 5.5 SP Serial Number not accepted

i have been using creative suite 5.5 design premium for a long time and decided to only use Adobe Acrobat X PRO on my new laptop and not use the other products. It downloaded ok but the serial number will not accept. The only way I can use it is to select trial period. Can anyone help?

you have to use the suite installation files even if you only want to install acrobat from that suite.

Thank you kglad. the adobe web pages are not easy to navugate when helo is needed, I grant you that. I did manag to chat with someone who said my serial nuber was a fake and now its been bloked after using it for years! I purchased it in a store but they insist it is a fake serial number and wont help. I have the box the genuine sticker on the box and everything but no one will help as they have now logged it as a fake serial number. I oaid a lot of money for this back then and now Adobe wont allow me to use it.

the only way (in the usa) that i've seen a brick/mortar store's serial numybe revoked is if that serial number was found in public (eg, pirate websites).

was it purchased in the usa?
