CS 5 not transferable?

Why is my legal copy of Photoshop cs 5 not transferable to my other computer after I have de-activated it on the first computer? Someone from Adobe asked for my serial number and then telephone and they wanted a skype address. I gave him everything and then he stopped communicating. What's the deal? I paid retail price for this software and now cannot use it on either computer!

The Heading is Adobe Photoshop cs5 Extended Trial (I accepted a 30 day trial when I was first denied)

I inputted the serial number and right under the number it says

"This serial number is not valid for this product."

Below that is a a Buy Now, but but I have already purchased this product. Perhaps I should not be doing the 30 day trial?? I can quit that screen and use Photoshop, but time is running out - 28 days left.

Did the link I provided back in message #5 provide any help?

    Thanks for asking.

I tried to install it on a second computer. I could not input the serial number. So I went back to the first computer and de-activated it. Now I have lost PhotoShop CS5 on both computers! This is the CD version not a download. I am the only owner of this and have only tried to install it on two computers I own that no one else uses. Both computers are Windows, Main is 7 Pro. Laptop is 8.1.

I hope you can help  as this is a real problem.

    Thanks

    Hal

THAT IS A SCAM... ADOBE DOES NOT USE SKYPE

Change your Skype password immediately !!!

You have unwittingly given your serial number to a scammer... I do not know the solution to the problem you now have

Post the forum id of the person who falsely claimed to be from Adobe in this message Scam Alert in Community Forums

deepakgahlot was listed as an Adobe Employee. I should think Adobe would monitor their own forums for scammers.

Here's the story. I bought Photoshop CS5 (CD) several years ago. Installed it on my main computer. I now have a second computer. So I installed it here as well. I did not know you could not have it on two computers. So I de-activated in on main computer (Windows 7 Pro) and tried again to enter the serial number into the laptop (Windows 8.1). It is not recognized. I have tried in vain to contact Adobe for help and all I got was a scammer on this board I believed to be with Adobe.

I still cannot use either Photoshop and am pretty unhappy about it. I couldn't even find this thread again. Adobe seems no help. Can anyone help me?

    Thank you.

    I changed my Skype password.

My message was cut off. In a nutshell I tried to install photoshop cs5 (CD) on my laptop. I then de-activated photoshop on my main, but the laptop version will still not accept the serial numbers. Main computer is Windows 7 Pro. Laptop is Windows 8.1 Now I do not have it on either computer. Adobe will not answer me. Can anyone here help?
