CS 6 Design Standard - Can't finish my installation

Hello,

I have CS 6 Design Standard on my old iMac (late 2009) now I have new iMac (2017) and I want to install my CS 6 on it.

- I deactivate product on my old computer (Help / Deactivate)

- In my new computer - I log in into my Adobe Account and downloaded CS 6  .dmg file from my Purchase History section.

- When the file downloaded I wasn't able to run installation by simple click the Install Icon.

- I had to right click "Install" / Show package content / MacOs / Install (terminal exec)

- The instalator starts and I want to type my serial number

- When I type it and click activate theres an error: "Serial number you provided is valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer"

- I am not able to finish my installation on my new iMac

Is there any way to get this done? Or I must stay at my old computer?

I was searching for solutions but I can't find any about CS 6 like mine.

Thanks for any help

Pvweu, please re-review the link offered by Ned in message #1 of this public forum discussion. The serial number you have entered is for an upgrade to Creative Suite 6.  You are now being asked to enter the serial number for the previous full version of Creative Suite, or qualifying product, that you purchased.

You can find information on how to locate your registered serial numbers at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html . If you do not find a qualifying software license registered under your account, then please contact our support team at Contact Customer Care for assistance.  Please be prepared with any alternate e-mail addresses or phone numbers that were used to register the full version Adobe product.

Another strage thing is when I type my serial number and when installer say: please choose other version there is not a CS6 Design Standard on the list, the only CS Design Standard is 5,5 which I do not have

The message you are getting indicates you have an upgrade license, meaning you upgraded to CS6 from an older Creative Suite.  You need to provide your previous versions serial number in order to prove you qualify for activating the upgrade installation.  If you had the older version installed it would (hopefully) have detected it and not presented the message... though a new machine versus older software could mean you would not be able to install the older version anyways.  In any case, there should be an option for you to provide the older serial number when you get the message you indicated.

But in my Adobe profile i got only one serial number for my CS6 package + there is only one CS6 for download (no version to chose from)

I dont have the old install file on my old computer :/

I thought this is the same installation pack in my profile history purchase.

Or is there any way to get „the old version„ of CS6?
