CS 6 installation problem

Hi everyone!

I have my old CS6 Production Premium which I wanted to reinstall after a hard drive failure (on the same computer). After entering product key I received a message that it's no longer valid.

Could it be that not disactivating the previous installation (on the broken hd) "kept" my licence active (I had part of the CS6 also installed on another computer, so two possible licences were used)?

Is there any way to fix it now?

Many thanks to whoever can help!

Alternately, phone customer service M-F during normal business hours and ask for an activation count reset and nothing more.

NOTE 1: CS6 is discontinued and unsupported.  Use at your own risk.

NOTE 2: Creative Suite installers won't work on macOS Sierra, High Sierra or Mojave without terminal workarounds. See the help article below.

NOTE 3: Creative Suite WILL NEVER run on Catalina or Big Sur. Either downgrade your macOS, set-up a virtual machine or get all new, 64-bit software.

When you can't deactivate a serial number
BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT
You may need to PERSIST or TRY AGAIN to find a support agent with more experience

-click the chat icon at the bottom right of the page to open a chat session
-the chat icon looks like '3 dots inside a circle' at the lower right
-type AGENT into the chat window to connect directly to a person rather than the AI
Do be aware that Adobe's staffing is impacted by the virus, so wait times are long
.
Also: beware of answering anyone who sends you a private message

Hi!

Thanks a lot for your help. However I have trouble finding the chat - I cannot see the icon you described anywhere. Is it possible it moved somewhere or was removed for good?

Is there any oter way to contact the support (I myself haven't found any).

Once you've signed in, can you see this Chat icon at the bottom RHS of the screen?

If not, can you post a screenshot of what you do see?
