CS CC installed but crashes on launching in windows 8. No idea how to fix it and adobe support seems clueless too.

I installed CC. On launching it crashes. I was advised to uninstall and reinstall. This has been done twice. same problem persists. This is a windows 8 machine. Can anyone help?
