HI All

I've just purchased a copy of Photoshop CS2 from Ebay that includes the serial number, box, cd, book - everything in fact.

I use to have PS10 but that was for windows. I now work on Mac.

My Mac does not have a cd drive so I am looking for where I can download a safe copy to use - ie. not a pirate copy.

Can anyone help me find a safe download?

I'd suggest you to return the product if its possible.

If the download link and serial number is already provided on Adobe official website and the serial number which was sold is not of use , I see there is no point in buying it.

Also as mentioned in above post , CS 2 cannot run on current Mac computers. CS 2 for Mac is a power pc apps which cannot be run on today's Macs which are Intel process based. However if you are using lower version Mac OS like below version 10.6 . you can use Emaluator tools like Rosetta to run power pc apps on Intel based processors.

But I recommend you to return product to seller and if you are interested you may opt for purchase of latest version Cloud apps from Adobe .

I will be returning the package and getting a refund.

LOL! I think the seller knew this was going to happen!As I was typing this reply, I have received a refund already and been told not to return it but i can keep it!!!! LOL! It's going to the charity shop! Someone maybe able to use it!!!!

Photoshop CS2 will not install or run on any of today's Macs. It was a PowerPC application written for PowerPC processors. Today's Macs use Intel processors and cannot understand PowerPC apps.

Intel Macs used to be able to run PowerPC apps with a built in workaround in the operating system known as Rosetta. That has not been possible since OS X 10.7 was released in 2011. We're now up to OS X 10.12.

In short, you've wasted your money in buying CS2. Try and get a refund.

Why are you buying ancient, outdated software on eBay when there is no guarantee that it will a) run on your computer, b) the software is not pirated?

If you need Photoshop and don't want the Cloud, buy Photoshop Elements 15. It's safe to use and will do everything you need.

I have had a refund already from the seller on Ebay.

I was told it would run on my Mac. I did not know it would not. It's clearly not pirated when it's all there in Adobe packing and with the serial number on the CD case and the serial number works when you enter it on the Adobe website.
As to why buying an older version - I can't afford to buy the newest version. I am long term ill (I have been ill for 20 years) & I am trying to carry on with what was going to be my profession, but now as a hobby.

Purchase Photoshop Elements instead of Photoshop. It will probably suite your needs.

Download from here and use the new serial number (not the one you now have) supplied:

Be aware that it may not work on the latest operating systems.
