CS2 download installation

I have used CS2 for years without issue. I tried to load CS2 from disk and could not register it. I contacted the help folks and they stated that I need to download CS2 since the activation of my disks is unsupported. I dowloaded the files and ran install. During the install I was asked for a serial number. I entered my original SN and the download SN and get an error message that the SN is incorrect. Suggestions?

I used the SN from the download page and got the error message. I tried the number with and without hyphens.

what do you mean you tried with and without hyphens?

the typical adobe licensing screen shows 6 boxes each of which takes 4 numbers. you should be using the 24 digit number from the end-of-life page. no hyphens should be in any of the 6 fields.

The window is titled "Adobe Photoshop CS2-Setup"

It asks for User Name, Organization and SN. The SN field is a single window not six boxes.
