CS2 re-install: Bridge won't work; error:Adobe Bridge cannot be used at this time because of licensing restrictions

After a computer crash, I reinstalled CS2 on new computer but couldn't activate it.  So I uninstalled my version, then downloaded and installed CS2 from Adobe site and used the key they provided.  During installation, there was some mix-up in the install about couldn't install in Program Files (x86), so I followed instructions for that problem, too.

Photoshop itself seems to work just fine, but I cannot use Bridge.  I get "Adobe Bridge cannot be used at this time because of licensing restrictions.  You must have installed and launched at least one other Adobe application to use Adobe Bridge."  I have already activated Photoshop itself, so the Activate is dimmed out.  InDesign, ImageReady, and Illustrator all see to work, too.

I have noticed that Adobe CS2 files are in 2 paths:  C:\Creative Suite CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0   and   C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Suite 2.  I don't know if this is expected, nor which files belong where.

I'd very much appreciate some help!

I should have said that my new computer is running Windows 10.  If there are other details that would be helpful, please let me know.

First, that software is old enough that it may not work at all with Windows 10... but

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

Right click the program icon (or setup.exe to install) and select a compatibility mode

-for CS2 I will GUESS select WinXP mode

Also, Doing Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 [says Encore and also for All Adobe programs] will sometimes fix "odd" errors

Thanks very much for your reply.

Bridge did work with Windows 10 when I installed it from the CS2 discs.  However, because I cannot register my version, I had to uninstall it and use the version of CS2 on the Adobe site. Error: "Activation Server Unavailable" | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3

My problem is some sort of activation problem with the version on the Adobe site.
