Question

CS2 registration

I still use Photoshop CS2 as I does all I need and I do not use it enough to warrant updating.

I have downloaded the replacement version to overcome the activation problems with my original disk.

My previous legal edition for some time (and I assume it dates from when you discontinued activation) and the revised edition asks me to register when I start it running each time despite the fact that I have registered it.  Is there any way to stop this slightly irritating question?

regards

I am sorry but uninstalling, downloading and installing with the S/N of 1045-1412-5685-1654-6343-1431 is exactly what I did in December.

So, I did it again with the same result.  Every time I open CS2 Photoshop I am asked to register even though I registered it again on first opening it after reinstalling.  But EVERY time I open it I am asked to register again.  Please how do I turn that irritation function off?

If your on a windows system (vista, 7 or 8) right click on the cs2 shortcut and choose Run as Administrator.

Hopefully if the registraton screen comes up, then clicking Never will stop it from coming up again when running photoshop cs2 normally.

Also running ImageReady sometimes gets rid of the continued prompts for registering.

    Hello ickleton@aol.com,

Please Follow these steps to download and install Acrobat 7 or your CS2 applications, which don’t use activation.

      • If you still have Acrobat 7 or the CS2 applications installed, uninstall them.
        Windows
        • Go to the Control Panel > Add Or Remove Programs, and select the CS2 products you want to remove.

Note: If you installed Creative Suite 2 Standard or Premium, remove all the individual point products as per Step 1.
        Mac OS
        • Remove Acrobat 7 or your CS2 applications by dragging the application folder to the trash. You can run a search on your hard disk to find additional CS2 components to delete.

For example, for Photoshop CS2, the components are in the following locations:
          • Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS2
          • Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS2 Settings
          • Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS2 Path

      • Download the product from the links below (select the language you've bought the product in).English | French | German | Japanese | Spanish | Italian | Dutch | Brazilian Portuguese | Swedish | Danish | Finnish| Norwegian | Chinese Traditional | Chinese Simplified | Korean

      • Sign in using your Adobe ID and download your application.

Note the serial number (it is on the same page). Successful installation requires this serial number.

Need help with your Adobe ID? See the Adobe ID FAQ.

      • After downloading the product, install it.
