CS2 with Windows 8.1

Is it possible to use CS2 (education version) with Windows 8.1?  I tried to install with discs; it accepted photoshop but not beyond.  Can it be downloaded and work? Is there a download from Adobe of this antique program?  I don't need GoLive, only photoshop, illustrator, indesign and acrobat pro.

If not, I will have to get Adobe CC, but I would rather not.

    I haven't tried it yet; will wait until I have the energy for it.

    Adobe says it doesn't advise using outdated software.  What are the risks?
