CS3 Design Premium Student Edition - How do I get a serial number?

Hi,

A friend recently found a copy of Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium (Student Edition), amongst her stuff. She is not a student, and it won't work on her modern computer. However, I have a Apple iMac G5 which I have no use for, and to have these pieces of software (particularly Illustrator and Dreamweaver) would be really useful to me as I study product design and computer science. I am a full-time student in the UK.

I have successfully installed the software - but now it's asking for a serial number. I do not have this. On the box, it says something about completing a form and sending it off - but the form wasn't in the box, and my friend cannot find it.

Can I get a serial number? It would make so much difference to me to be able to use these pieces of software, even if they are years out of date.

    your friend may be able to transfer her license to you, Transfer an Adobe product license

    Yes, but she doesn't think she's ever used the product or got a license.

    she's either licensed (and has a valid serial number) or has a trial version or an illegal version.
