CS3 Design Standard Install problem on OS X 10.8

Hello,

I migrated users and applications including CS3 when  old mac died.

But when I opened indesign there was an error message which said: 'subsystem failed catastrophically.....'

So I tried to reinstall from original discs.

But that's not the main problem.

Main problem is that Acrobat 8 Professional doesn't install - it says it's already installed on my computer (but it isn't).

Ran the cleaning utility as recommended in other threads, got rid of old preference files, repaired permissions, etc. But Acrobat still greyed out on the installer.

Installed everything else and they are working fine.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

MAC 10.8 is new operating system and Adobe CS3 software is end of life product.

It would be great if you purchase the currently available Adobe CS6 Software.

You can also purchase CS6 software on subcription on Monthly  / Yearly basis.

In case you want to purchase CS6 subscription then here is the link to purchase : https://creative.adobe.com/plans

Thanks, but can't afford to buy CS6 as much as I would like to.

I undestand that product is end of life, but am hoping there is someone else out there with a similar problem who can help.
