Question

CS3 new serial number not valid on Mac High Sierra

I am trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 3 design standard on my new MacBook Pro Retina and am getting an error message when I enter the serial number. I have already learned that you need a new downloaded version of this software with an updated serial number provided online by Adobe. I have successfully downloaded this software and received the new serial number after entering my old one. but when I run Indesign and enter in the new serial number I get the error message of: "The serial number is not valid. Click ok to retry entering the serial number."

Exactly which operating system?

You MAY be having a problem due to trying to use a very old program on a new Mac operating system

Installation Document Type (CS3 must use NEW installer and number) has links to help with install problems

-more information on activation problems with the new version https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2385900

I have MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.1.

Also RE: the forums thread you listed below. Do you have a location for where the sAdobePCD folder is located on MAC?

Excerpt from forum thread 2385900:

7. When this is finished, use File Explorer to find the AdobePCD folder in the c:Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Adobe folder. Delete this AdobePCD folder. This is the one that has the old serial number that is preventing the new activation and it is not deleted by de-installing CS3.

I am currently using both the new CS3 installer and new serial number associated with the download
