CS3 Reinstall on new laptop - says serial number has been used too many times - deactivate instruction not an option?
I recently had to upgrade my laptop due to some restrictions with space. In doing so, I had to reinstall the Adobe CS3. My new laptop does not have a CD option, so I had to go through the website to download it and then enter my serial number. According to my license, I can install in up to two computers. I got a message stating that my serial number has been used too many times and was prompted with instructions on how to deactivate. When I went to follow it, the menu didn't have a deactivate option. I checked the forum and saw that a few people recommended using the chat feature to reach out to someone. That proved unsuccessful and they were not able to assist me. They basically told me this product is obsolete and they offer no support for it. I asked them to provide instructions on deactivating, they said there were none and it wasn't an option for CS3. I asked if they could reset my serial number, he said he couldn't do that. So it looks like I am stuck, which is awful because I use CS3 on a nearly daily basis for work. Any suggestions on how to get someone to help me with this? The other monkey wrench in this situation is that the license was originally registered under another employee who is no longer here, so I cannot log into their account to retrieve or get any information that might help in this situation.
