Question

CS4 disk giving corrupt installer error message.

I recently got a new laptop running Windows 8.1 and am trying to load CS4 from the disks I got a few years ago. When I try, however, after I hit the "Install Adobe" button it pops up this message:

All the answers I found online referred to deleting any old CS files then trying again but this new computer does have any and only came with Photoshop Elements 11 and Premier Elements 11.

Desperate for any suggestions. I can't afford to buy the newest CS.

Thanks!

deva713, Please perform the steps : Error "...Installer Database is Corrupt..." when you install Adobe Creative Suite 4 or point product

You can download the Creative Suite 4 Applications from Download CS4 products.

I hope this works.

Thank you.

If the install disk is broken, download the installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html
