CS4 for Windows 8.1

I own CS4 and would like to install it on my new Windows 8.1 computer...is this possible? Are there updates that I can download so it is compatible?

Older programs generally do not get updated to make them compatible with new operating systems - software companies prefer to focus on their latest releases for such matters..  If you do a Google search using terms like "CS4 Windows 8" you can get a flavor of the success rate for getting CS4 applications to run in Windows 8.  Some folks can and others have problems.  Some need to install using compatibility mode.
