CS4 reload serial number problem...duh

Question

I recently had to reload CS4 Standard Suite from online download. All programs were initiated with activation code, except Acrobat Pro 9, which would not load properly. After several attempts to fix the issue, I decided to clean CS4 (App Cleaner) and start over. Once I had reinstalled CS4 I was asked to enter serial number which I did. Installer now tells me I have an incorrect serial number. I am assuming there is a file somewhere on the hard drive, or a server file,  that is telling the loader that I am trying to install on another computer when I am only liscenced for single usage? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I never resolved the Acrobat Pro9 issue. I am currently running Yosemite 10.10.5 on a mid 2011 iMac.

Thanks for this. Was able to successfully reinstall CS4 Standard, however, I am still facing the issue of Acrobat Pro 9 not opening correctly. When app opens I get a window stating that Acrobat has detected missing components that require repair. The check box shows program wants Adobe PDF Viewer, Safari Plugin. I check and hit continue. The box disappears, but no main menu appears at top of screen. Only the word, Acrobat. I have to force quit the program to end. I opened another program in CS4 before I attempted to open Acrobat. Is there a compatibility issue with this version of Acrobat on Yosemite 10.10.5 that can't be resolved?
