CS5 reinstall will not progress

I had to wipe my hard drive, so now I'm trying to reinstall CS5 in Windows 7. The installer gets as far as "Preparing to install..." with the blue progress bar. But it never gets started, stays at 0% and time remaining stays as "Calculating". I have tried several times and at this moment, it has been stuck in this spot for the last 90 minutes. Any ideas??

run the cleaner: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html, restart your computer and then try to reinstall.
