CS5 Update server not working/responding

I'm rather close to a mental breakdown now... I have Creative Suite Standar 5.

When I try to update the program I get this warning message:

"Updating server not responding. The server may be offline temporarily, or your settings for internet or firewall is inaccurate. Try again later."

This message also comes up sometimes when the programs actually lets me know that there are new updates, and when it doesn't and it actually seem to work, it starts installing until it's almost done. Then a new message comes up saying "it can't connect to updating server and to try again later"

The core of the problem

Since I can't update anything I can no longer open and edit files that are Camera Raw,

I could do this before, and I really need to be able to do this since I do a lot of photographic

work in that file format.

I use Window 8, CS5 for all the programs.
