CS5 Updates (not upgrade) won't download

I purchased a new MacBook Pro and installed CS5. But when I go to update the creative suite programs it gives me "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." for every program.

When I click the Customer Support link it takes me to a page about upgrades and needing a valid serial number. I have a valid serial number because the programs installed. I erased my old MacBook Pro so my serial number isn't being used on it.

I saw a discussion on here that mentioned changing the security preferences to "allow app downloads from: anywhere." So I've tried that, but it still gives me the error.

It also won't allow me to install Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. But with that program it just won't fully open and install when I double click on it. It goes to the question about what plug-ins do you want and then nothing, just has Acrobat in the menu bar but you can't click on that.

I tried the suggestion I saw to deactivate Creative Suite and try installing Acrobat, but that didn't work.

IF Mac El Capitan read below

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-you may get CS6 and earlier programs to install and run, or you may not (some do, some don't)

    -Java https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html may help

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help (also for other than CS5)

-also a TEMPORARY security change https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2039319

The forum has not been hacked, but scammers will use the messaging system to send false messages

Adobe does NOT use Skype, so please post the person's Adobe ID here so he/she may be reported and banned

At some point in the past (I don't know the exact date) Adobe "merged" the original update manager into the Cloud update manager, which means you are no longer using your original update manager

I have read some messages that the latetest (Cloud) updater sometimes doesn't work with old programs... Try installing your updates manually

Updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Your Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Mac El Capitan, and will not be updated

Doesn't seem it likes that either. It kept saying the installer was damaged and to eject it.

Also, seems like maybe Adobe Support or Forums have been hacked. They had me send them my Skype contact info and then when they contacted me they tried to claim I could get the entire CS 6 for $250 but had to pay with cash to the support center in India. And when I started saying that sounded fishy, they got snippy.
