CS6 - Bridge problems

I have just bought and downloaded CS6 from Adobe website and download seems fine but when trying to activate it - serial number is good - but it keeps saying to close Bridge even though it is closed (have checked icons on toolbar too) and it will not let me continue past this error.  Help please !

    Its probably running as a service or process.

    You'll need to either kill the process using the task manager or monitor.
