CS6 download to open Pagemaker files

A post on this site says I can open old Pagemaker files by downloading CS6.  But I can't find anyway to do that.

I've had Pagemaker and then InDesign and then Creative Suite for some 30 years (since my first version of PM on floppy disks to my current Creative Cloud subscripton!)  So I think I'm entitled to do this.  But how?

It seems it's no longer possible to talk to anyone from Adobe directly, as their "Contact Us" button doesn't work.

Can anyone help, please?!

I think I should be able to fly to the moon if I want but that's going to happen.

CS6 download should appear in your online account, assuming you purchased a license for it when it was still available and registered it at time of purchase.

https:/account.adobe.com/products

If a CS6 license was never purchased, case closed.  It's not available anymore.

It sounds like the OP has kept up with various releases over the years, but yah. It could be they just downloaded the CS6 installer because their new Mac doesn't have an optical drive. But say, they DID have install media for CS6 or CS5.5, even if they hadn't registered them before, it's still possible to do so now, which would then make the offline installers available through their Account page. <edited>. The reason I mention this is they even if they can't run it on their currnet Ventura machine, they might later find an old Mac that can run it, so it would be nice to have the installers "around" before they vanish for good.

I just checked my own account page and both my last two CS Suites (5.5 and 6) are still there registered and ready to download. I have no way of testing if they can still be activated though, so it may be a moot point (The last thing I would want to do now is deactivate my working CS installs just to do a test recativation!!!!).

If you have old InDesign install media and an older Mac in a closet somewhere that can run it, you would best to resurrect it. Remember it doesn't matter which version of InDesign to use, it's just that the LAST one that could do it was CS6. Any version before that would work just as well, if you had a machine that can run it.

Will your computer allow you to create a partition on your hard drive and install an earlier operating system on that partition... and then start your computer in that earlier operating system?

M1 chip won't.

Thanks for three replies.  I did manage to download CS6 from prodesigntools.com.  Unfortunately it won't open in Ventura.

sure won't. you need a 32 bit os, and ventura doesn't have 32 bit support.

The last verison that could run CS6 was Mojave. My guess is if you are already running Ventura and you are on a Silicon Mac (e.g with M1/M2) you can't boot into an older OS.

@Why_me? , if you are running virtualization software (like Fusion) you might be able to install a guest OS of Mojave or older even, then install CS6 on that.

Regardless, time is running out on the ability to activate CS6, so failing that, the best you can do is install it as the time-limited trial and convert as much as you can before it expires.

If you previously purchased CS6 and you registered with Adobe you may be able to download from here

Log-in to your Adobe account and click this link https://account.adobe.com/products

Otherwise, if you have your serial number to activate the program keep reading

Go here for all older links https://prodesigntools.com/adobe-direct-download-links.html
Prodesigntools is an official Adobe partner, and the links go to Adobe, not a 3rd party site
.
Computer crashes happen... the FIRST time you download a program make an external copy
IF/When you do have a download, be sure to copy it to AT LEAST one external device
you should ALWAYS keep a copy (or two!) on an external device
since Adobe DOES SOMETIMES REMOVE OLD VERSIONS FROM THE SERVER
a usb flash drive or external hard drive, or write to a CD or DVD
plus a text file containing your serial number if you have a serial number program
