CS6 Fireworks - Now Getting Msg 'To use Adobe services, please update your Adobe applications....'

After weeks with Adobe trying to get Fireworks back - the only app I use  (I have creative cloud all apps ) I get this message when I try to use the 'License' button to sigh in to my account.  Its been WEEKS of asking Adobe.

It is new - same message on both laptops I have - and I have not done anything new.  Its the only that opens as a trial.

I have never had a CD or serial number - it was just part of my suite.

Anyone know of a work around - its the only app I use for media/ graphics etc.

What about for users that have a Creative Cloud Subscription and install Fireworks through the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application?

They would not have a Fireworks serial number, so thay are unable to use the offline activation method.

Exactly.

I have always installed it as part of my suite. Just switch to show older
apps. It then opens.

Recently (about 3 months ago) someone from Adobe cancelled my payment to
keep the same rate (it was due to increase) Something happened that day- I
couldnt use fireworks. Adobe told me to wipe fireworks from my laptop and
download it again with a link - it opens as a trial

And that is exactly the point - and my issue - I have never had a serial
number.

I have asked how to file a complaint to the company and was told to post
here.
Is that really the Adobe complaints policy?

And I was told 'we don't support Fireworks anymore'. It's the only app I
used - I have literally been paying at least £16 a month (for a decade) for
one app that I can no longer use.

Why they wouldn't want my money ? I have no need for the All Apps plan now
-so no need for the plan anymore

If I dont get a resolution - some work around - I'll set up a website and
allow people to post there - so that whoever cares about the reputation of
adobe and it's customers can see that this matters.

It's my go-to program. I have no need for a 'modern program' as certain
'experts' here keep (condescendingly) linking me to. It does everything I
need, and I know it. I feel strongly enough about it to create a site about
it.

I'd even download a 30 day trial every 30 days if that's an option. If they
won't let me pay for it someone must have an option. Or why can't adobe
generate serial numbers for us. Or allow it to be available for free if
they don't care about it. Stopping access to it rather than letting us use
it as we have since they stopped caring about it 5+ years ago feels
spiteful.

there's no better place for complaints.  if and how it helps to complain here is questionable.

and sorry about the offline activation info. it doesn't apply to you.

did you update your cc desktop app?

Thanks for your question, Thereadingwhisperer. Please see https://adobe.ly/3KWIpWP for a list of supported browsers and operating systems to access Adobe online services. Support for Internet Explorer was recently dropped, so updates will need to be made for the computer to securely access Adobe services and websites.^JW

Thanks - I am using supported browser etc - and its only fireworks Im getting that messge for. Surely if there was an actual issue I wouldnt be able to access all other Adobe online services.

Thereadingwhisper, you asked what changed recently, and that was the recent change. You will need to implement the instructions in https://adobe.ly/3XBSQGE if you want to restore access. ^JW
