CS6 Genuine Software error on 2nd computer

Hi Adobe,

I purchased the CS6 Production Premium package in 2012 and have been using one license on a computer for years. I've just tried to install my second license on a laptop by downloading the installation package from Adobe's site, and towards the end of the installation it gives me a Genuine Software error ("The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software...").

There didn't appear to be any issues with the license number (besides, it's the same one I used years ago).

I followed Adobe's instructions here to patch the AAM, but with no success.

Could anyone please advise me on what to do? I'm currently stuck with some of the software installed, some not, and some seemingly half-installed - the last thing I want to do is corrupt program files with half-installations!

Thanks in advance!

Jet

Thanks kglad! I'm afraid I've given those methods a try but with no success. If it is of any help, I am trying to install on a Windows 10 laptop.

unless you purchased a single user license directly from adobe.com or an authorized reseller, your cs6 probably is counterfeit.  it's not unusual for the problem to be detected (by adobe) years after purchase and initial successful installation.

if you did purchase from adobe.com or an authorized reseller, using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'chat', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
