cs6 install error

I am trying to install CS6 from an original DVD over a LAN on a mid 2013 Mac Book Air running 10.11.2. I had previously installed it once on an earlier MBA, which is now unused, without any problems.

The message is: 'We've encountered the following issues

Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe ....' etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

Install CS5 on Mac 10.11 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003455 may help (also for other than CS5)

-also a TEMPORARY security change https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2039319

Thank you John for the information, I will have a look at the links and see what comes out of it. Also, I will follow up Kevin from Adobe and his offer to connect via Skype.

Have a great day.

Hi @hrid64, Please check announcement or our main page : Downloading, Installing, Setting Up

We have received a number of reports where some members of this community are posing as Adobe Employees by offering to help troubleshoot issues personally using technologies such as Skype as a means to gain access to your computer and potentially your personal information.  All Adobe employees are required to have an orange ‘STAFF’ badge next to their user profile which can be seen if you mouse-over their profile picture.

You might want to try installing via download instead of using a disc over a LAN.

Thank you for the suggestion, though I will look into what John T Smith has said before downloading an Installer which cannot use which I already have.
