CS6 Installation Failed

I have an installation disk and serial code purchased 3 years ago in college that is still valid. I got a new laptop and am trying to re-install the suite. After 20 minutes installing, the installation stops and tell me "Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure: This product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit." How can I verify my serial code and finish installing?

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

Hey John,

I'm running the program on a Macbook Pro, that is using macOS Sierra Version 10.12.1. I have full read/write permissions on my account as well.

I also tried to download the installation driver for cs6 design suite from the adobe site, and when I would open it to run the installation, it would say a file is missing so it could not perform the installation. The adobe installer wouldn't even pop up.

Thank you for your quick answer. Hopefully they can fix these odd issues soon.

Hi Laurent98906676,

Thanks for sharing the details, there are specific set of instructions to be followed on MacOS Sierra 10.12 while installing CS6 applications on it. Please check this link:- Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) and feel free to update the results.

Thanks.
