Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7

Thank you,

It wasn't that easy to find the uninstaller, but the Cleaner Tool led me to it eventually.

So the uninstall then reinstall worked.

It still again raises the question which remains unanswered. Are there two different build trains of suite applications (such as Photoshop) which requires a reinstall if the user changes from a perpetual licence to the CC subscription?

It seems as though I was stuck down the wrong path with my build, which then required a reinstall to get further along on the Creative Cloud versions. Anyone willing to confirm this?

Thanks

S

Here's the "cure" for updating CS6 CC to 13.1.2.

It's REALLY simple and it works.

Someone sent this to me, I tried it, and it works.

Did I mention how easy it is? :-)

I'm surprised Adobe does make this clearer, or actually address the issue in some logical manner.

So I upgraded from a perpetual licence to Creative Cloud. Adobe updater is now always telling me there are updates - Photoshop is at 13.0.4 and it wants to update to the CC version which is at 13.1.2, however it always fails. I can't even update to the perpetual 13.0.5 version either.

The online help documents say to manually download the updater, which then redirects to instructions on how to select Update from the Help menu of Photoshop. So while I spin around in circles, Adobe assures me that I should be excited about the new CC suite come June 17.

Did Adobe not think that perpetual licence owners might upgrade to a CC membership in anticipation of the new CC suite? The updater is definitely as confused as I am.

Sighmoan what error message did you locate within your installation log files?  As stated in the document Anish offered you the U44M1P7 error only indicates the update has failed.  You can try downloading and installing the update manually if it is available.  If not then please see the referenced link for information on how to review your installation log files.
