CS6 on High Sierra work around error

I am trying to install CS6 on a new mac with High Sierra. I found the following work around for Sierra (Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra)), and it almost seems to work on my computer, but at the end I get pop up windows with text that is all blocked and Xed out. I was able to figure out how to navigate this series of windows to enter my serial number, but then it won't finish up and I get this message "Adobe Application Manager quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple." Is there any way to get my CS6 to install on this new computer?

uninstall everything cs6 (if anything is installed)

clean per Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

check your fonts for errors (google it)

    restart your computer

    reinstall cs6
