CS6 on MAC cannot be activated with our educational key

One of the teachers is determined to work on a MAC. So the school decided to put one MAC device in the classroom where this teacher can work on. Students all work on PC's. We have an educational license for CS6 master collection. But now we cannot get the software activated on the MAC device. On the Pc's there is no problem whatsoever. Is the activation platform dependant? And how to get around this?

    yes, the activation code (and your license) is platform specific.

    ie, you have a windows license and not a mac license.

    you can use both mac and pc if you purchase two licenses, or if you have a cc subscription.
