Nowhere during the installation does it give me the option to select the previous version I purchased! This is a new install on a new computer because my other computer no longer works. There is no option for me to select CS6 PS (NON EXTENDED) on the download from Adobe! When I install it only installs the extended version and tells me my serial number is valid but not for the extended. When you provided the link to the page that has the downloads, all that loads is the extended version. Can you please give me a link to the CS6 (not extended) so I can get back to work? I also was able to get the hard drive out of my computer that no longer works and put it on my new computer I'm trying to install CS6 on and the installer gave me NO OPTIONS to enter my old serial#.

This is beyond frustrating!!!! I have a computer go out on me, and have to buy a new computer, then when I try to install CS6 PS it will not install. In the meantime I'm trying to keep my small business going to stay in business. I can't call any one from adobe. All I can do is send emails to get this resolved and wait.

Please please help me!

if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: Download Adobe CS6 Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant or Manager) | ProDesignTools

and activate with your serial number.

if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

the installation file for ps and ps extended is the same.  your serial number determines which version is activated during installation.

I kind of assumed that, however, when I enter my serial # I get this message "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer"

I download the CS6 PS file and entered my CS6 PS serial # and that was the message I got. I just talked to customer service and they said to install CS6 PS as a trial then enter my serial #. CS6 PS installed as CS6 PS extended. I chose the istall to be be CS6 PS (NOT EXTENDED) The same message comes up "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer" Extremely frustrating... I don't know what to do...

your ps cs6 serial number is an upgrade from a previous version.  that message means the installer is not finding a previous version.

you should proceed with installation and be given an option to select the prevous version you purchased.  you will then be able to enter the previous versions serial number.

enter the correct serial number at the correct time and installation should proceed.
