CS6 Photoshop won't install

Hey! I've got my hands on a friend's old copy of CS6 Photoshop from way back, now I'm trying to install it on my Windows 11. However, the set-up does not work as after initialising the installator closes itself with no notice. I had to dig in PDApp.log to find the only errors that showed up during the initialisation process - those are what caused the programme to close itself. Does anyone have a solution?

[ERROR] PDApp.WindowManager - Cannot Create the APE stage instance
[ERROR] PDApp.WindowManager - APEWindow creation failed

[INFO] Setup - TimeLog: Event wait timeout
[INFO] Setup - Bootstrapping successful. PDApp launched. Quitting Bootstrapper
[INFO] PIM - PIMSqlite closeDB status 0
[INFO] PIM - FREE PIM Instance ...
[INFO] Setup - End Adobe Setup. Exit code: 0

I tried installing it on another device and it worked just fine.  I've moved the files to the Desktop and opened the setup file as an administrator. None worked - the window closes itself after the green initialisation bar hits the end.

I managed to find out what the issue is - I tried to install it while my PC's Operating System was Windows 11 Pro N, which does not have a lot of necessary drivers for games and apps. After a clean install into a non-N version, I managed to install the app with no issues whatsoever.

1. Unless your friend received permission from Adobe to transfer his license to you, you're not legally allowed to install it.

Educational versions of Adobe-branded products are not eligible for a transfer of license.

2. Legacy CS6 from 2012 was built to run on Windows XP/Vista or Windows 7.  It's neither tested nor certified to run on newer devices and operating systems.

3. Once the activation limit is exceeded, you would need to deactivate from previously installed devices. If those devices are not in your possession, you're stuck.  It's time to get modern software.

Hey, thanks for the alternatives but I'd really rather stick to this one. Worked just fine when we tested it out on another Windows 11 device, but now, just doesn't work.

That's the risk you take with discontinued, unspported software. It might work or it might not.

If it was installed on more than two devices, you've probably exceeded the activation limit.
