CS6 standard Adobe Application Manager Error code U44M1I35

I have CS6 standard working on windows 7 64 bit system. I tried updating both from the drop down Help menu and Setup.exe file on Adobe Application Manager, I realise the first option is incorrect, but with both options the manager attempts to download the updates but informs me that there is an error. Adobe's own help site goes in a loop so I am in a fix as to how to resolve it. Someone please ...

    I have just downloaded that, but find it's the same version as the installed one. Will it have updates in it?

    I wish people wouldn't provide URLs willy nilly without having first confirmed whether the content they are directing you to is actually there. Whilst I was searching for the problem about AAM not working for CS6, I came across someone writing in this forum that Adobe Creative Cloud  itself is like AAM. I downloaded it and all my CS6 applications have been updated, I'm sorry I don't recall the name of the person who wrote it, but thank you
