Question

CS6 will not activate as I have installed on more than 2 hard drives which died since 2012 purchase

Hi everyone, I bought CS6 on disk in 2012. I have changed computer a number of times and now it won't activate because I did not get chance to deactivate it on previous hard drives which died. I don't need the latest software, CS6 works great for me. How do I get Adobe to acknowledge that their system should allow for my circumstances and let me in? I have it installed on my laptop and I want it on my desktop, which is 2 computers.

Thanks Justin

Is your dekstop compatible with older 32-bit software?  I ask because many modern Macs are not.

Creative Suite won't install or run on macOS Catalina, Big Sur or Monterey.   And due to it's advanced age and unsupported status, it has not been tested on Windows 11.

Thanks Test Screen Name and Nancy O'Shea,

It tells me I can't phone and there is no option for chat that I can find - see jpeg below. How do I contact them? This is why I ended up on this forum. There should be a way for people like me to contact them about something. Maybe I will write them a letter. Nancy - thanks - luckily I am on a 64bit PC using windows 10, so if I can sort out the activation it should work fine. I only want illustrator for tracing the edge of text as a vector so a laser cutter can cut out some stencils. Maybe there is some other free software I can use.

Don't tell the virtual assistant you have Creative Suite.  It's not supported.

Online Chat: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
Phone M-F, during normal business hours: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html

Alternatively, Inkscape is a free vector app.  It works pretty well for most things.

You need to contact Adobe customer service. Cs6 is long out of support, so you may need to keep trying. Be sure to use these exact words "I need an Activation Count Reset". Give the serial number when requested. Do not say it's CS6 unless they ask, and tell them "The forum said you would know how to do an Activation Count Reset, and they can't do it" if they try to send you here.  DO NOT GOOGLE FOR SUPPORT. DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY PRIVATE MESSAGES. Scammers wait everywhere. You must contact Adobe directly by the Chat feature from the account which registered CS6.
