I somehow change the layout of my curves layer panel. It used to show a curve image and the mask next to it. Now I only see a square with a circle. Could someone tell my what I changed and how to reset it. I have attached an image of what I am seeing.

What is shown in the layers palette depends on the image aspect ratio and the resulting size of the preview icon and in turn height of the layer bar. Nothing unusual here. If the preview is not high enough, it will revert to displaying the standard icon. For everything else check the options in the layer palette's flyout menu in the right top corner.
