Data2.cab error

I recently had to reinstall my operating system on my desktop (it is from 2004) WinXP.. I went to reinstall Adobe Photoshop CS, that I got back in 2004 as a graduation gift, but recieved the error cyclic redundancy check about data2.cab.. My research showed that it is probly damage to the CD but I cannot see any. Anyway any insite would be helpful.

Hi,

I would suggest copying the contents of the disc to a folder on your desktop and trying to initiate the installation from there.

We can then narrow down to the cause of the issue.
