Deactivate Acrobat X

I know that Acrobat X is no longer supported but I am trying to find a way to use it. I switched computers and would really like to get Acrobat X working on new computer. It says it is already installed on two computers. I have one of the old computers but it won't deactivate. Is there a registry key or something I can do to get this working? I just need it for a short time and am not in a position where I want to purchase a new subscription. I can understand that I can't get support for old program but I should be able to deactivate/activate if I have the download and the serial number. Any way????

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

@kgladThank you for trying to help. My old computer is on latest version of OS. I did try to deactivate - it didn't work. I think it is because Adobe has blocked deactivation and activation of old versions.

@timeandcents

oh, you're essentially correct.  acrobat x can no longer be activated.  you can use it for 30 days and then must expend either time or effort extend another 30 days etc.

no, you have to open acrobat on your old computer > click help > deactivate.

your old computer needs security updates to its os and default (non-opera) browser to convey the deactivation to adobe.
