Deactivation of CS3

I run an old version of the Creative Suite on my MacBook. 4 days ago I received a pop up that said I needed to reactivate the software within 5 days. Support gave me a link however the process looks daunting - and support has been less than supportive. I have one day left and I feel like I've been blackmailed. Does anybody have any clues as to what to do? Cheers, Pete

I don't have any idea why you think yo've been blackmailed.  CS3 is unsupported legacy software from 2008.  The activation and registration servers are gone.   Just be grateful they gave you a link to get an activation-free version and new serial number.   For best results, run the CS Cleaner tools to remove old CS versions from your system before you install the replacement version.   Also delete the old Adobe PCD folder.  If you don't delete it, you'll continue to see the activation prompt.
