Deactivation option is disabled

Deactivation option is disabled.

I cannot re-install my software on the same computer (crashed recently). Actually I cannot use the serial number I have.

I've tried to deactivate in order to re-activate it, but the deactivation option is disabled.

What should I do?

Thank you for your reply

    Provide information regarding your product.

Is it a standalone product or a suite.

Also, provided o/s information and system information.

    Both are standalone products:

for the Windows I've got a Acrobat Pro Extended version 9 (Windows 8 Pro) on a SONY Vaio Z

and for the Mac I've got a Adobe Acrobat Professional version 10 (OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3.) on a MacBook Air

if deactivation is disabled, your software is deactivated.

you should be able to click help>activate.  if you are then prompted for your serial number and it is not accepted, contact adobe support:  (http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html).
