Director 12 will not sign in to my account

Downloaded and installed Director 12 trial.  When it executes, it attempts sign in to my account.  Tells me that I am not connected to the Internet or my clock is wrong.  I am connected to the internet and my clock is correct - current 9:27 pm.  Tried several times with same result.  Rebooted.  Same result.
