Disassociate ACC account from computer (Windows 10)
Hey ![]()
As the title says I want to completely disassociate my ACC account from my computer.
For clarity, here is a summary of what has happened:
1) After having had the "Creative Cloud for Students" license for a year, I had to not update my subscription because the price was raised too much for me to pay.
2) After this I uninstalled all the apps, including CC, and finished off by using the CC cleaner tool (based on the log it was successful).
3) Somewhat later I wanted to use Illustrator for a small project, so I decided to download the trial version. To my surprise, after the installation was complete, CC automatically popped up asking me to log into my account; displaying the email address corresponding to my student license.
Conclusion: even after uninstalling everything and using the CC cleaner tool, there is still some association with my former ACC account hidden on my computer.
Now, I don't care if I can not use the trial version, after all I have had the program before. However, I do not take it lightly when companies hide files on my computer. After discovering that my PC was still associated with my former adobe account, I have tried varies methods of complete removal. Neither advanced uninstallers, registry cleaners or the "CC cleaner tool" can remove this association and I am running out of ideas. I can't find any solutions in the forums either.
To be clear: I don't want companies leaving hidden files on my computer and would like to COMPLETELY disassociate my PC from my former adobe account.
Operating system: Windows 10.
Regards.
Mikkel.
